Why now more Thai Student are coming to study in New Zealand than before?

There are 3 reasons to explain this.

1.The main reason is English language. It is getting more important every day in Thailand. The third world has become a treasury for Western countries which go there to invest. In Thailand, many big companies from Western countries have been coming to invest and make businesses, and many top management are foreigners. Without a doubt, English seems to be the most useful language that is used for communication.

2. Because of decades of Western investment in Thailand, people can make more income than before. They may earn enough money to spend for the better life such as living in bigger houses, luxury furniture, expensive cars and, perhaps travelling overseas on long holidays, supporting higher education for their children in up-country is possible.

3. Most Thai students who come to study overseas are females, may be the female number of the population is probably higher than male.
- New Zealand seem to be a better choice for studying English for Thai students when compared to the UK, the USA and Australia in terms of the cost of living and safety. Other reasons trend to be naturally of environment and the people seem very kind.

My first time in New Zealand

New Zealand,What is it like, weather, enviroment? What are people like? Are they kind or mean? I wondered. It seems a lot of questions came to my head before i came here, so I should find it for myself.

Finally April 24, I was here. First week, the weather was not as cold as I thought, may be it is autumn, everything seemed to be going well. I have stayed with the homestay where I tried to adjust myself with them in many ways also, eat everything they eat, sleep and woke up at their time.

Unfortunately after 5 days passed, I had a fever and diarrhea plus some blood came out for 3 days that made me went in and out toilet more than 20 times. I couldn't eat anything except only hot water with sugar. Even worse than that, my host Mom and Dad went to their beach house during this period so I was home alone. In that time, I was so starving and without energy but I thought I should go to see the doctor so I walked from home and cried all the time. Then, I met a" KIWi man" who gave me a lift to school. He was very kind. From school, I walked to Angelsea Clinic, the doctor gave me some medicine and said " you'll be fine".
